How to make the sound "flow" between harmonica notes?
Obviously if it's right next to it, it's easy to just move your mouth to the side, but when it comes to notes that are several holes apart, there is either a gap of short but abrupt silence or the other notes must be played in between the two, and when the note is in the same hole but blowing sucking in the other direction, the abrupt silence seems unavoidable. I can't make it flow and feel natural between blowing and sucking. How do I do this? I've heard it done, is there a special technique? I only play the harmonica as a small hobby, I don't know much about it.
Need help with harmonica audition?
Im trying out for this group that only takes about 18 people and over 100 try out. You can audition with your voice or any instrument and it consists of mostly high school students but a couple college students as well. I plan on playing the harmonica which I am good at playing but I've never played the harmonica in public ever before. What should I do learn play in order to increase my chances at making this annual group they put together.
